Arewa:how,when,why did you start singing.

ONOS: I started singing at a very tender age back then in Delta State l sang in several groups in school, church e.t.c. So singing for me has been on going.l noticed at that age that l had a strong passion for the arts,l learnt how to play the keyboard, was always quick to go for any dance rehearsal l heard of.

Arewa: how did you family react to your decision

ONOS: When my parents noticed that l loved to sing and play the piano especially my dad he was quite supportive l remember him saying to me when l was in primary 5 that if you come out with good grades he would buy me a recorder(smiling). So they encouraged me in the little way they could.

Arewa:tell us how and when you met your husband?was it love at first sight?

ONOS:My husband and l had known each other for a while before we even got talking because we attend the same church. l won't say it was love at first sight, I'll say l met him in the line of duty. When l released my first single DANCE in 2008 it was on inspiration fm TOP 5 at 5 on Chaz b's show and l was basically trying to get all my friends to vote for the song on air; so we really got talking as a result of me askiing everyone to vote then l stumbled on him in church he asked for the promo copy of the song, we exchanged numbers and the rest as they say is history. (Laughs)

Arewa: You are a wife and a successful singer, tell us how easy or difficult this is especially in our soceity where even women see themselves as disadvantaged.

ONOS: it is not exactly easy you know but most of the time if you get married to your friend and he has an understanding of what you do, that definitely makes the work easier. And my husband has been extremely supportive even while we were dating.
